Course from Menéndez Pelayo International University on nutrition labelling

From September 28th to October 2nd, the course “Towards a comprehensive approach of nutrition labelling” will be held at ICTAN. This course, directed by Dr. Jara Pérez, from ICTAN, belongs to the summer programme of the Menéndez Pelayo International University (UIMP) and it is sponsored by CSIC. It will have speakers from CSIC, as well as from universities (Oviedo University, Murcia University, A Coruña University, Valencia Polytechnic University and Zaragoza University), public institutions (Health Department, Madrid Region) and private entities (technicians from food industry, Buenavida journal from El País). They will deal with updated topics in the field of food labelling (products “without”, NutriScore system, etc.), including the Social Sciences approach, and highlighting the need of basing nutrition labelling on scientific evidence.
