The most highly cited article in the Nutrition Reviews 70-year history

The article entitled “Polyphenols: chemistry, dietary sources, metabolism, and nutritional significance”, published by Prof. Laura Bravo, researcher of the Department of Metabolism and Nutrition in the November 1998 issue of Nutrition Reviews was granted as the most highly cited article in the 70-year history of this prestigious publication in the area of Nutrition and Dietetics, edited by Wiley-Blackwell

The certificate of recognition was granted during a commemorative act in the Asambley of Memebers of the International Life Sciences Institute (ILSI) during the ILSI Annual Meeting held in Phoenix (Arizona, USA).

This article has been cited over 1000 times, being the most highly cited articles during serveral years in the area of Agricultural Sciences and of CSIC as recognized by the Essential Science Indicators of ISI Web of Knowledge.
