Presentation of two research contracts ICTAN-ORIVA at CAIXAFORUM

Researchers Gloria Márquez Ruiz and Raquel Mateos Briz from ICTAN-CSIC presented at FORUM ORIVA (held at CaixaForum), on October 26th, the general lines of two contracts signed by ICTAN-CSIC and ORIVA, the brand that represents the Interprofessional Association of Olive Pomace Oil. Dr. Gloria Márquez has presented the project entitled “Study of the behavior of olive pomace oil for frying and comparison with sunflower oil and high-oleic sunflower oil” and Dr. Raquel Mateos the project entitled “Evaluation of the health effect of the olive pomace oil in healthy and at risk populations”. In both presentations, the researchers summarized the main objectives and the work plan to be developed in the projects.
Directed by journalist Pepe Ribagorda, FORUM ORIVA brought together authorities, agricultural organizations, business associations of the agri-food sector, representatives of the HORECA channel and of the food industry, as well as communication media.
