ICTAN performs multidisciplinary excellent research in Food and Nutrition Science and Technology that integrates the entire value chain of food systems, from the product as the object of study (primary production, processing and conservation, acceptability and consumption studies) to the product as food (nutrition, health and prevention and treatment of disease through food). We contribute both to the advancement of knowledge and to economic, social and cultural development, as well as to the Sustainable Development Goals of the 2030 Agenda, to the principles of the Circular Economy and to the European “farm to fork” strategy included in the European Green Deal, resulting in the improvement of the value chain of the food system, the health and well-being of the population.
